Hotel Edison has been setting trends in New York City's Theater District for decades, dating to its opening day in 1931 when Thomas Edison, our innovative namesake, turned on the marquee lights of the hotel himself. Since that day, the art deco architecture of the Hotel Edison made its way into the fabric of NYC, influencing a number of nearby attractions and buildings that followed.
Throughout the years, the hotel has been synonymous with celebrity, innovation, and art, with The Rum House and The Edison Ballroom acting as gathering places for theater performers and Hollywood stars. You may have even seen our stylish interiors in major productions like The Godfather, Naked City, and Birdman.
During the past decade, Hotel Edison has revived its place as an art deco masterpiece in the Theater District, with the renovated Edison Ballroom and the new Signature Collection being introduced to New York City and our visitors from around the world.

By price should offer more comfort table or desktop in the room (2 people), option for sitting in breakfast is expensive when you including the breakfast in the price. Little space in room is compensated with location.
Great hotel, great location, rooms cleaned daily to a high standard. Staff kind and helpful, breakfast good, just the perfect NewYork stay. Will definitely return.
We booked this hotel due to Booking.com canceling our hotel at the last moment we chose this hotel due to location, which is superb if you want to be by the hustle and bustle of Times Square hotel we had a standard queen room room which was small but clean and tidy, and we didn’t spend much time there due to the sightseeing that we were doing I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to be in the mix of all the hustle and bustle of New York has to offer is close to everything that you needed
You won’t find a better stay in the city. From the moment you arrive, your importance is made known. The staff is amazing. From the doormen, the bellmen, the very efficient front desk staff, the hotel security, housekeeping, and maintenance…all are genuinely anxious to be at your service for anything. The rooms are well equipped, updated with great linens and amenities, comfortable and pristine clean. The theaters are just a few steps away from the hotel. There are good restaurants at the hotel and all around the hotel. You will not find a better value in the city.
Very close to theaters. Nice personal welcome from the staff. Well-appointed room. Appreciated the art-deco history and theme.
