Hotel Beatriz Costa & Spa

We booked to stay here for a week as a family of 6 with 3 separate rooms. We had a good holiday but there's good and bad points I'd like to leave in this review. GOOD POINTS = The pool is lovely. The bedrooms large with a big private balcony overlooking the pool area. Fridge in the room. Maid cleaned our room every day and left new towels. Hotel reception staff helpful. Piano bar was nice in the evenings for pre drinks listening to the saxophone player. Foam party in the pool area on Saturday afternoon was great. Disney channel on tv in the bedroom. 15 min walk to the bars, restaurants and shops. Cheap taxis. Buffet was standard all inclusive food but we always found something we liked. The spa is brillant. We loved it and it's better than some of the other ones we've been to abroad and in the UK. If you are all inclusive you can visit the spa as much as you like for free. The kids club was pretty standard but it done the job with keeping the kids entertained. It just needs a makeover and some colour in there so it looks more inviting. BAD POINTS = Green old carpet in the bedrooms wasn't hoovered and was just unhygienic. Rooms need a big refurb as it was really dated but it didn't ruin our holiday. Only 133 sunbeds but there's 350 bedrooms and if there's a minimum of 2 people per room that's 700 people minimum (without children) and only 133 sunbeds. So people start queueing for sunbeds from 7.45am. The pool area is meant to open at 9.30am but everyone just runs under the plastic chain when there's enough of them to do it together. There's normally around 100 people racing for the sunbeds around 9am and they are all running. If you don't join the mayhem then you won't get a bed, simple as that. Within 10 minutes of everyone running, there's no beds left. The hotel needs to get rid of the old horrible mini golf which is all damaged and looks awful and replace it with more sun loungers. The furniture in the evening bar was very uncomfortable and needs to all be replaced. It has a lot of potential to look amazing but after it's updated the hotel with a modern look. No balls or floats allowed in the pool and you get told off if he sees you. My sister and her partner had bed bugs I'm their room and my sisters partner had over 50 bites over his body. They complained and got moved to a new room and the hotel washed all their clothes for them to avoid them spreading to the new room which meant they had no clothes for 24 hours. We didn't experience that in our room thankfully so we were okay. The evening entertainment needs to be improved and more seating down there in the evenings. I think the price we paid for a week abroad in the summer holidays was a good deal and you get what you pay for. I would say we had a good holiday and would rate it 3 stars. As much as the hotel needs a refurbishment, we also need to the remember the good points too and the cheap price we paid so overall I don't think people can complain and be too dramatic. A holiday is also what you make of it and who you are with. The hotel was absolutely packed and there's only a few people leaving bad reviews when there's hundreds of people staying here. So overly I think the hotel is an average hotel if your looking for a cheap holiday for some sun.

We went on july 16th 2024 as a family of 12 room= clean an spacious with lots of storage for clothes The beds were comfy The only down side is there's only 2 plug sockets in the room there is a small fridge an a kettle In each room the rooms have decent air conditioning Food= the meat was nice had a decent selection but not the best Entertainment= the Entertainment was the biggest load of crap ever for a hotel of that size u would expect better the seating were wicker chairs an the table was full of cockroaches the room was so hot an didn't have air-conditioning there is a water feacher that runs threw the middle so the vew of the stage is bloked by trees it is very outdated an not very clean Pool= we went in july so the pool was cold an they are all salt water they have a form party once a week wich was fun Staff= friendly an helpful This hotel is definitely not the best but we had a good holiday

This hotel is a 2 star at best. Absolutely filthy, not allowed to play any games in the pool, no floats no balls etc . The reviews about running for a sun lounger of a morning are all true its like whacky races . Cockroaches running around the bar area food is absolutely awful not much choice at all. We was looking to book flights home after our first day here. Do not fall for the pictures although the pool looks nice it's salt water, dirty and has a sewage smell. The carpets didn't get hoovered once in the whole week we where there. We also arrived to dirty underwear left in the room from the previous guests
