Large room with 2 single beds with ensuite bathroom. The room was at the front of tge hotel opposite the tram lane. It was noisy when trams started early morning but it was OK. Bed was comfortable. Clean. The only downside was no fridge in the room. There was coffee making facilities. Would have liked a fridge. The wallpaper is horrendous I've never seen anything like it 🤣. The location of hotel was great would definitely stay again
It was quite late when we arrived, the chap on reception told us all we needed to know, breakfast was your basic breakfast, for the English was toast, pastries & cakes, fruit, cereal & yoghurts, very good food, drinks are orange, apple, water and a variety of hot drinks, lots of seating, all very clean. Our room was 205 and our view was scaffolding, but you dont expect a sea view on a city break, and we wasnt here to stay in the room. The room was cleaned every day to a high standard and smelled lovely, clean towels every day too. The hotel is central to everywhere, old and new town, jewish quarter, etc, lots of shops nearby, The staff are helpful and informative, there is a fridge that you can buy drinks, and water dispenser on every floor. We had to vacate the room for 12 and was being collected at 6, i did ask how much it is to extend the room, but at 200 pz (£40) it seemed a bit high so just left the cases. If you are here for a base then this place is ideal, cheap and cheerful.
I think the hotel was being renovated at the time we stayed there. Windows looked new and the rooms to the front were not available to public. We were in a room at the back, a bit dated but bed and bathroom were clean. Breakfast had a selection of cereal, yoghurt, cheese and bread. Would stay here again as it’s close to train station, tram stop outside and pickup point for tours.
Very nice small friendly hotel, a very pleasant experience. Staff were very helpful, rooms basic but clean, adequate choice at breakfast, lovely takeaway breakfast made for our early morning trip to Auschwitz which was organised for us by the hotel at the last minute
I was a little apprehensive about booking this hotel because of all the bad reviews but went ahead anyway, from the outside it look’s quite shabby ( but it is in the historic Jewish quarter) inside the main entrance is ok with seating and it’s clean.I must admit I did ask for rooms at the back as it is on a main tram line so did not want a noisy wake-up call .The reception staff are all very nice and helpful our room was lovely low but comfortable bed, tea/ coffee facilities, a really modern bathroom a warm and cosy 4 nights sleep we did get, breakfast was more than enough choice ( really don’t know why people complain) and the young lad on breakfast duty was very polite and always cleaning .all in all a very nice stay and definitely recommend this hotel easy access to all amenities.
