Do NOT book there……I give it a zero…..no one at reception to greet you….some sleepy students, who could care less about your stay are at the desk. Could they call you a taxi…..forget it.Our room window……faces a wall…..so we feel like we are in a closet…..have no idea if the sun is shining or not….what’s up with that!!!You need a key pad to enter the premises……if you can see the pad on a sunny day…..another good luck….that’s where Lucky Cat may come in handy!!!Terrible terrible and terrible!!!I have travelled the world and never stayed at such an establishment.May the God’s be with you if you choose this dump!!!One is too high of a rating!!!

Spent three nights here during our trip. Situated a 15 minute walk from Kyoto Station with links to the Shinkansen and local services but on a very quiet and narrow street. Convenience Store around a two minute walk away.The hotel is very secure with access to reception and the rooms by coded locks. No restaurant although there is a microwave for guest use, along with laundry and left luggage facilities. Note, there is an accommodation charge of 200¥ pppn payable to the hotel directly on arrival. Check in is from 4pm but we paid 2000¥ for early check-in, which was most welcome following the walk from the station in the heat and humidity.The room was clean and comfortable and like many Japanese hotels, with toiletries and amenities available in the lobby.Would stay again

If you go to this hotel expecting it to be a base for however long you are going to be in Kyoto, then it is great, it is basic and clean which are the main things. However, the location isn't that great compared to other areas we have stayed in in Japan, but still easy enough to get about, only thing we disliked it there not being a proper reception as such as no staff around, but is a good choice for a budget hotel.

Surprisingly spacious rooms by Japanese standards. The hotel's location is ideal for exploring the area, and it's situated in a quiet neighborhood. The availability of laundry facilities and a microwave makes life convenient.However, I did notice that the hotel could benefit from a few additional amenities, such as a lobby seating area and common toilets."

amazing hotel located very near Kyoto station, just 14 min by feet. the hotel is supposed to be small compare to the price they offer. but it is not. it is quiet big for solo travel. and just fit enough for 2 i think. they are very responsive on property message but not very friendly in real life. it is ok. the facility is presented like a buffet and you take whatever you need and suit your needs. the toilet is always amazing with auto clean and warm up machine. provide full set of hygiene: bath towel, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body cleaner. euqipped with air conditionner so there is no hot time. they even have hair dryer. water boiler, a fridge and usb charger plug in. enjoy my stay very much
