  Good central comfortable hotel

  Conveniently next to the station, this new hotel is very central, clean and a good stay.Rooms (and beds) were very comfortable and whilst we faced the railway and station, the noise wasn't intrusive and was barely discernible. We were half way through our vacation so the 3 wash/dry machines (new and clean) were a god-send - though you need to be hawk-eyed to get a free one! The 7-11 on the ground floor proved useful too and there's plenty of restaurants to choose from in the immediate vicinity.   Fantastic place , clean and convenient

  Surprised with some of the native reviews!!! If you need top end luxury the Hilton or Ritz is always there around the world 😂. We were in the 5 th floor, clean rooms and bedding. Staff were very helpful and polite.   Stayed 3 nights 15 / 16 / 17 Feb 26.Clean and comfortable hotel in a convenient location.That's it.1. Breakfast spread was not replenished after 9.15am. We came in twice on separate days around this timing and found the food quantity dismal. A friend came to join us at around 9.30 which was a wrong decision. We asked for extra macha mochi and was flatly denied. What was evenmore unacceptable .....the restaurant staff promptly chased us out at 10.am.2. We asked twice on different occasions for a checkout at 12 noon. This was acknowledged by the front office then. But when checkng out, we were asked to pay 1000 yen for checking out at 11.45am. I am quite certain no information about late check penalty was addres to us.( They did emphasise verbally: the room cleaning system but not late check out penalties. )This was my 3rd hotel stay at this hotel chain.   Amazing Location for Exploring Kyoto

  We picked the Ekimae Premier based on its location and we were not disappointed. The hotel is adjacent to the station and the underground access is super helpful when the weather is inclement. The atmosphere is fine and you can definitely tell it’s a Japanese hotel based on the overall character and design. The rooms, as you would expect run on the small side if you are used to traveling in the US but have what you need. The bathroom design was actually good and large including both a tub and shower. For the location and style of hotel we thought the value was good. The hotel was reasonably clean but we did find some small amounts of dust build up in the corners. The hotel was very peaceful and we didn’t experience any real noise from outside our room. The service in the hotel was good with the front desk staff being excellent and extremely helpful. While there weren’t too many extra amenities the rooms were well stocked with anything the traveler might need such as a toothbrush, water and coffee/tea.
