  Lovely hotel to stay for a few days

  We stayed here for 5 days to explore Kyoto and Osaka. Several things about the hotel stand out. The friendliness of all the staff, both at reception and in the breakfast room. The location. There is literally a bus stop outside the front door that runs to the station and central Kyoto. Other bus routes and metro routes are close by. Walking around the immediate area is fine too, with plenty of Seven11, Lawson, FamilyMart and other convenience stores close by (eg egg sandwich, nigiri.)The room was perfectly fine, not big but comfortable and the housekeeping was spot on. The breakfast had an east meets west fusion of Japanese items like soups, rice, etc but western items like yoghurt, fruit, cereals, scrambled eggs, waffles, croissants and toast. Hot and cold drinks are complimentary throughout the day at reception which is a nice touch. An absolute gem to visit is the Nishi Hongan-ji temple about a 5 minute walk away towards the city centre. We saw a lot of temples in Kyoto but this was the most serene, relaxed and uplifting of them all.Overall we really loved the time we spent at the hotel.   Good, cozy, warm, comfortable, warm place.

  The hotel is relatively closu to the main shopping centre, in 15 minutes from historical places recommended to visit. Bus stop is in front of it. Good breakfast, staff is very friendly and warm.

  had a fantastic stay here :) the service is great, check in was easy and quick, and we got free welcome drinks/coffee. the rooms are small but clean and cozy with a desk, and the bathroom is great. there is a lawsons just down the street and it's not too far from the subway station and luup ports. we were also able to store our luggage here after checkout!

  Avoid this place. If not a hotel it could be a prison. Rooms so small you cannot open your suitcase other than on your bed. Curtains not opaque so from 6am full light in the room and noise from the street. Located very far from all you need to see in Kyoto. Subway 8 min walk. Double bed tiny. Micro bathroom 1,5mx1,5m, how is it even possible? When you open the toilet seat, it hits the sink. Breakfast horrible with prison food like trays in an awful crowded and noisy space looking like a food canteen. Bakery and other food all industrial, pre packaged and processed . Actually it’s not even food it looks like vomit. We ended up not having breakfast at all. No staff, you need to put your tray away and clean your table yourself when you’re done ! The photographer of the pictures shown for promotion is a magician. We ended up here because of our travel agency Voyage Privé but I would have never chosen this place.
