Not a bad hotel but fair walk from centre and could do with a refurbishment, breakfast was pretty good for a continental but dud get very busy and only 1 waitress doing everything so had to wait around as most tables still had used cups and plates on … also be very careful of the water scam , everyday room maid would leave bottles of water in room which we wasn’t informed were chargeable until we checked out and got a bill for water we consumed Don’t think we’d stay again and would stay in the city centre
The hotel is clean , but tired. I did not appreciate being told to sit a specific table for breakfast even when there were clearly several empty, was totally snubbed when asking for hot water for tea. Male concierge added 30% onto the price of bus tickets , next days' tickets were as priced on the actual ticket. Makes them untrustworthy. Poor breakfasts . And service is bad. Itallians get treated well and english are NOT . They don't know how to treat paying guests with equal respect . Its obvious they are blatantly discriminate.
The staff at the Diana Park hotel were very helpful the room was clean with a kettle coffee & tea and well presented. Room service each day and fresh towels, the breakfast was very good with lots of choices would definitely stay there again
Hotel is clean and situated approx 30min walk from centre, although there is a bus stop outside if you prefer which costs 1.50 to centre each way. Breakfast is ok, the usual, yogurts, cakes toast, scrambled egg and sausage. Nice cappuccino. Toiletries provided in shower room. Fridge and kettle in room, although paper cups and no coffee! TV has no English channels. Tourist tax of £4.50 per person per night to pay upon check out.
We stayed at the Diana Park hotel for 2 nights. The first day, we were welcomed by the receptionist and very pleased with the room where all the amenities were serviceable. Nevertheless, the second day we started having several issues: 1/ Air Conditioning stopped working 2/ There was no hot water in the shower Following our complaint, the receptionist who was on duty that night offered another room on the same floor. We were very pleased with this option, however the air conditioning was not working in the new room. It was very late, so we fell asleep and did not have the strength to complain any longer. The next morning, the female receptionist on duty, advised that her colleague had not activated the air conditioning in our room the previous night. She did not offer any apologies for the issues encountered. We felt that this accommodation was not in line with our expectations, and will not return again.
