Excellent Family Hotel
Good beach Hotel
I cannot tell you what a great experience we had at this hotel. The entire staff were so welcoming and helpful. The place was clean, friendly and welcoming. Zrinka and Antonio in the restaurant were so kind helpful funny and informative.we even met Zrinka on another island and she went out of her way to greet us! These guys were amazing. Thank you to everyone to make this a memorable holiday.
We stayed a week in October. We didn’t know the hotel was closing for winter 3 days after we left. We enjoyed our stay very much and pleased we paid extra for a room with a balcony. The location was amazing. Peaceful at night with lovely views. The food was good though what was meant to be hot was always lukewarm. Wine and beer on tap for lunch and dinner but the coffee machines turned off. As the hotel was closing there were no sun loungers on the beach and no bar by the pool. If you wanted a drink you had to climb stairs to the hotel bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful .
Kitten Plea for Help This is our first review on Trip Advisor and before proceeding to review the hotel itself, which overall was excellent, we would like to post a cry for help for two adorable little kittens who were ‘residents’ at the hotel (close to the restaurant). The kittens were members of the same family and enjoyed playing with one another and any play things given them by hotel guests. It would be a real pity if they were split up as the little tabby was clearly more confident with its brother or sister. The kittens were just about weaned and had started to eat solid food, beef being their favourite apparently, though they were partial to Chorizo, Turkey & Chicken. We asked the hotel staff what was to become of them as the hotel was due to close on Sunday 22nd October, this being the end of the season. There was mention of a member of staff adopting the black / white kitten as it was the more confident of the two. I’m sure though that the little tabby would be an excellent pet once it had become used to people, and clearly, they would both be even happier if they could find a home together. We would have adopted them there but for the impracticalities of importing them into the UK. So, on behalf of the kittens at the Aminess Grand Azur Hotel Orebic, Croatia, please find us a loving home together. Thank you.
Lovely hotel right by the sea. I don’t think you can beat the location. We booked last minute and all expectations exceeded. Very friendly, helpful staff, wide choice of food. If you’re looking for traditional full English and chips with dinner you may be disappointed. I was ecstatic to find a good selection of seafood and meat options and with half board plus wine/beer was included with meals - great value. Lovely pool and plenty to do in the area. Hired a car from the airport which was great value and made good use of it exploring the peninsula and Korcula. Definitely recommend the drive to Lovište and walking the track up to the monastery. Turn left out of the hotel and track is approx 200m on the right.
Fantastic value hotel. We bought the all inclusive light package. The lack of free drinks outside of lunch and dinner was a plus in our view as there was no drunken behaviour around the hotel. Some people have complained about the food. We thought it was very good. Loads of seafood. Yes, the sausages at breakfast are the European type, but there was always 5 or 6 types of ham to choose from, plus cheeses, pastries, any type of egg, fresh fruit, nuts, etc etc. The staff are wonderful. Very calm and always helpful. We had a seaview and balcony. The rooms are small, but we were out all day, so it wasn't an issue. The view is beautiful with the island of Korcula not far away (10 min walk to ferry, €2 each way). My one and only minor criticism is that our bedding wasn't changed once during our week long stay. It could have been our fault as we opted not to have cleaners every other day. We will be back. Croatia is beautiful, especially this area. We met Croatians on holiday there who said they think it's the best stretch of coast.
