The overall trip was excellent. With few exceptions, the staff was friendly and attentive to all needs and requests. Food variety, quality and convenience were excellent. Our concierge Alejandro made sure that we were satisfied and helped with check in/out. Check in and out were painless and convenient. Suggestions for improvement: Calathea by the Sea service were not as friendly and helpful as the Level Bar or Elyxr bar (these were the best!). Some items on the QR menu in the Level restaurant were not available, the breakfast staff told me mocktails were only available at dinner and the dinner staff told me they were only available at breakfast. Finally, we were approached by the Circle team (Emanuel) who took us by golf cart to a timeshare/membership presentation at the Paradisus location; we were promised steak and lobster for this presentation which we did not receive. Overall, those were all minor issues for the overall experience and we would visit this location again.

The stay at Melia was amazing, we arrived and the staff were attentive and very fast and checking us in and got us to our room just as quick. When we arrived there was a slight issue with the room where the plugs did not work as there was a fault within the socket. After calling the reception desk they sent out a repair man which fixed the problem. After this the stay was amazing the pool was well looked after and amazing temperature. Along with the beach every morning they removed the sargassum which compared to other resorts which don’t keep as clear. The restaurants were very good as I have an allergy which they managed to adapt the food for me really well and it was never a hassle. If taking cash they use USD more than any other so I would take that in the future.
