Mitsis Bali Paradise Hotel

Great location and service throughout the hotel. The restaurant has good choices with self service including drinks wine, beer, soft drinks, tea and coffee . Bar's are stocked with all types of alcohol and cocktails Three pools one with 2 water slides one with area for little ones Entertainment was mainly centered on the French guests so consider this The Hotel is up a very steep slope which for me was a little daunting arriving during the night and dropped off at the slope meant that there was no help to get luggage to reception This is not always the situation as other transfers by coach went up the hill so much easier Arriving during the day no problem the hotel will help you Do not be put off by my sligtly negative remarks as I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and wished I had booked a longer stay. Will be booking again

The hotel grounds were beautiful and very well kept, majority of the staff were friendly and always willing to help (especially the hotel manager / reception staff / bar manager / bar staff), there were never any issues with people reserving sunbeds or there not being enough for everybody, you can take advantage of the free paddle boarding and kayaking down at the beach, some hotel rooms haven't been updated but after speaking to reception they were able to move us to a refurbished room which was wonderful, rooms were very clean, cleaners were very friendly and made sure everything in the room was stocked up. The entertainment was very french orientated, and sometimes the team would forgot to explain in English which left me and my friend confused and frustrated at times. The food variety wasn't the best, but you could find something to eat every time you went in there. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel, but I couldn't give the full 5 stars due to the issue with the entertainment.

Visited Mitsis Bali Paradise at the end of September for a week. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, probably one of the best holidays we’ve had. Plenty to do around the hotel, we caught the land train to Karavostasi Beach, caught the coach to Rethymno from the National Road. Quadbiking. It’s great that canoeing and paddle boarding are free of charge for Mitsis Bali guests, animation team are great and watched a show at the amphitheatre on site although all animation is in French it didn’t bother us at all. Lots of supermarkets near by that sell a wide range of produce, should you need it. Cafes near by also. Our room was a little outdated but it had a good view of the mountains/sea and a nice balcony. It didn’t bother us much, as we hardly spent any time in the room anyway. All staff very friendly and welcoming.

First time visitor to Mitsis Bali. Visited other Mitsis hotels. The hotel itself is nice but very hilly. Staff are so friendly. Food was ok but in my opinion could have been hotter, seemed warm not hot. Room was good, maid service was daily and did a great job. Safe box free of charge. Pool area is nice with 2 pools with plenty of sunbeds available. Beach is across the road and with a very steep walk down and then of course back up. Not suitable for anyone with weak or poorly legs. However the beach bar is great with drinks and food available. Special mention to Sami and Raymond at the bar, great guys. Beach area is lovely and has a sports area where water sports are available. I did water skiing, para gliding and jet skis and the man running it Yanis was Fantastic. There is a little train that goes on the hour up and around Bali and it's just €5 return. Well worth jumping on and having a look around. Must mention karavostasi beach which is stop 12. Beautiful beach with 2 great tavernas . Well worth a visit. All in all a good holiday and will definitely be going back next year.

Sadly, not what we had expected! On booking the Mitsis Bali Paradise, we had gone on the hotel's description, photos and the Mitsis hotel group reputation, but once there it was nothing like we were lead to believe! It is not a 4* star hotel, the glossy in- house Mitsis magazine describes it as " The vivid 5* all inclusive hotel", it is more like a 3* hotel. As others have said, rooms are dated, shabby and bathroom fittings not great. On arrival, 12:30am, our friends were allocated their room, which was unsatisfactory and not what they had booked. Following day they managed to get their room changed, causing unnecessary time wasting. It appears this was the case for a few other couples we spoke to, as well! All four of us went down with Noro virus, which was going through the hotel! We reported this, on two occasions, to the reception, but nothing was relayed back to any of the guests, which should/could have been done, quite easily via email, with advice and asking people to isolate. Food was okay, a bit more fruit selection at breakfast would be nice. The drinks were of a poor quality, I know it was all inclusive, but you shouldn't have to get such poor quality! We are not wine snobs, we get our wine from Aldi, but we couldn't drink any of the wine on offer. We heard, whilst there, the Mitsis group purchased the hotel back in March 2023, and a complete overhaul of the hotel is due, over the next 2 years, so really the holiday we bought, was not in a fully graded Mitsis hotel! Pool areas were nice, sun beds were not the best, and some shades broken and left by the poolside. Beach is a good 10 minutes walk, with lots of steps, or via the road, slightly longer route. The private beach area is small, with nice beds, but very crammed in. The beach bar is good, with nice snacks and drinks. Good points: Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Hotel is very clean, throughout. Beautiful, well kept gardens. Bali is pretty quiet, which was nice, although there was excessive noise from nearby hotel. The Old port is a lovely place to eat, and visit, it can either be reached by approx 20 min walk, or The little train tour (5E return). Would we return, sadly no!
