Laguna Resort & Spa, a luxurious 5* ultra-all-inclusive beachfront jewel in Crete, part of Mitsis Premium Collection. Opened in May 2011 on the Blue Flag Anissaras beach, Hersonissos. What can I say about the Mitsis group that has not been said before? This was the first time to this particular hotel, and we found it as beautiful and spotless as any in the group, and we have been to quite a few. The big benefits are the friendly staff, the spotless pools and grounds, the choice of eating venues, and of course the sheer beauty of the whole complex. While in Laguna, we also visited the Mare next door, and it was as beautiful as expected and looked like somewhere I could maybe visit in the future. We had the benefit of attending the cocktail evening, and even though we only stayed a short time due to dinner reservations it was a lovely gesture to show the company's appreciation for you choosing to stay at a Mitsis hotel. Were there any downsides to the hotel - well the most obvious one was the complete lack of evening animation - and when we did go to see a quick change show we left after 10 mins as it was abysmal. The evening entertainment at the bar above the restaurants was generally very good ( I did not like the Cuba night ) but the other singers and players were all very good, and you can see that Laguna is aiming for a slightly higher end of the clientele, with no bingo/karaoke etc.... although that also makes a holiday! Onto the exceptional staff - our room maids were attentive and courteous, but the stars of the show were the barmen either at the pools or at the evening bar - to name the ones that hit the spot, each one of them was polite, funny, informative and charming... PETROS / SOTIRIS / DOMITRIS / COSTA ( I hope I got the names right, but please let them know they made a great impression ). Now I have moved up to POET level I feel I need to see more of the Mitsis group - but rest assured I loved every minute at the Laguna.

The staff are all very helpful nothing is to much trouble. It was clean and looks beautiful everywhere, Food and drinks where great. It was a fantastic dream holiday .entertainment staff was amazing, really can't fault it place. Would recommend this hotel.

Nearly every aspect of our holiday at Laguna was excellent. The rooms are spacious and serviced daily including replenishing the mini bar. There is pool-side drink service and snacks throughout the day - everything included. Our four year old grandson greatly enjoyed the kids club and was well cared for by the play leaders with lots of games and activities. He can only eat gluten free food but that wasn't a problem with plenty of choice and readily available guidance from the head chef, Manolis, who was always available to help us with advice about what he could and couldn't eat. As well as the main restaurant with a huge choice of food, there are a number of a la carte restaurants with great menus - although the popular time slots get booked up very quickly. The swimming pools are kept beautifully clean; in fact the whole resort is kept spotless. The only disappointment is the beach: the sand is very gritty and rocks make it quite difficult to actually get into the sea - also beware sea urchins! However, this hardly distracted from a great holiday. Highly recommended.

This hotel is AMAZING. Highly recommend. My parents came here April 2023 & insisted they must bring us. We just got back from this Hotel as a family (April 2024) We had an amazing experience. The rooms are stunning and cleaning. The staff are excellent. They are so helpful and kind. From the moment you step into the hotel to the moment you leave they ensure to take great care. The food was so amazing. There were so many different options. They have 5 A La Carte restaurants as well as a main restaurant. They were all great. Can’t fault this hotel in any way. Will be definitely back. Special shoutout to Kostas, Petros, Sotiris and Andreas. They looked after us and always kept as smiling. Thank you Mitsis Laguna Resort
