From the minute we arrived , we cannot fault the hotel . Carla at reception was so helpful as we arrived early ( early flight ) , and got a taxi for us to head into carvoeiro , our suitcases were put away safe and Carla said she d contact us once our apartment was ready , and she did . Joao the Barman in the olive bar is second to none , nothing was too much trouble for him , he genuinely looked after us with drinks and food . The breakfast was good Great choice if you want something else you just have to ask . The bar menu was also good , tasty and v of overly dear . The only con is the three course menu , although really lovely choices we wouldn’t really want 3 courses so the option of just the main should be considered . The apartment has all you need , and more , dishwasher / full size fridge freezer / washing machine microwave we didn’t cook but the option is there . The apartment is huge , and exceptionally clean and well maintained. The grounds in and around are beautiful and peaceful. There is an outside and inside pool /sauna ( under maintenance) steam room,jacuzzi you must where a hat in The inside pool . All in all would I come back ? Totally , peace and quiet , abd if want more an Uber for 5-7 euros takes you into carvoeiro Already looking at booking again

We absolutely loved this hotel. Amazing apartments all set around beautiful gardens with lovely terraces outside with sunloungers. All apartments seem very private from walking around the hotel and having a good look myself. The apartment was so clean and well equipped. We stayed from Xmas 🎅🏼 eve to New Year’s Eve. The hotel was very quiet as it was out of season though we loved this. The food in the restaurant was very traditionally Portuguese and we all loved it, even our 5 year old girl (Hope). Our little girl loved the staff in the restaurant especially Tania and Raquel. Breakfast was fab. Gluten free is very well catered for and the staff would bring warm gluten free bread and muffins out everyday to my wife to our table. Great choice if gluten free food at breakfast and dinner. We were blessed with some great weather while away for Xmas, very lucky. Indoor pool was fab. The hotel is a taxi ride away from caroveiro and ferragudo, 10 euros, both lovely to visit. We will definitely return to this hotel, probably next Xmas 🎅🏼 again ❤️

Nice hotel, big and comfortable lovely room and bathroom. Friendly staff. Swimming pool is very clean and nice. Free shuttle bus to Carveiro and Ferragudo. A bit far from Faro Airport and main attractions, otherwise lovely.

Bright blue skies every day, but chilly evenings. The resort is quite remote as you mentioned, and we were very glad that we rented a car and found some great local restaurants. We had a couple of games of golf at Gramache. The resort feels more like 4* than 5*. The staff are quite well trained and their English is good, the hotel is comfortable and glad we went for more than just a room, although I didn’t do any cooking. We received basic information on the resort, although the internet was good. We had the Christmas Eve evening buffet, and had a light breakfast on the 25th. However all dolled up and ready for lunch, we went to the restaurant which was empty!! but we could get snacks in the bar…….. There was still a notice advertising lunch in the foyer….. which we had also received via e mail on 20th December. Other restaurants in the area were doing lunch, but by the time we found out it was too late to do anything else. Also it was such a beautiful day we would have, maybe, gone to one of the lovely local beaches. We literally hung around and went back for the Christmas Day evening buffet which we previously knew nothing about!! and why hadn’t we booked!! We understand that various cultures spend Christmas differently but Christmas was barely recognisable except for the decorations. I was glad to be coming home when we did. Disappointingly we would not return to that hotel.

We went on a Ladies Trip and, initially, we were sceptical about the mixed reviews. No need to worry! We had a fabulous time! We stayed on a Bed and Breakdast basis. The rooms (H6, H7, H8) were spacious, clean and peaceful. There is a fridge, iron board and iron in each room. The beds were huge and super comfy. The hotel is on beautiful grounds, but could do with a refurb to be a fully fledged 5* property. The staff were all lovely, but Carla takes the crown as she went out of her way to ensure we were happy with our short trip by advising us on the best places to explore, eat and shop! The pool area was nice and the weather was delightful on our final day so we lounged in the sun. However, the outdoor pool was freezing so you had to be prepared for an ice plunge bath experience to fully enjoy it. The spa was lovely. We did not get a chance to book a treatment, but we used the jacuzzi, steam, sauna and indoor pool. Breakfast was really wholesome and we were so impressed with the variety of fresh fruit which included papaya, kiwi, pineapple, grapes and melons - all ripe and yummy!' We travelled in off season, so it was quiet, peaceful and scarce - just what we needed. We would definitely return again with family, partners or solo - so highly recommended. The property is situated on the outskirts in a beautiful rural setting with plenty of fresh air, trees and open green spaces. Thank you for making our stay really special.
